Governors

The school is fortunate to have a full cohort of committed governors, whose skills allow them to sharply support school improvement.

The Governors' role is to:

  • support, praise and share good practice in the subject area
  • develop personal interest and knowledge of the subject area
  • keep the Governing Body informed about current practice
  • keep in touch with the Head of Department at regular intervals and conduct regular, supportive monitoring visits.

Any parent interested in becoming a school governor can find lots of useful information on the Hampshire County Council website for prospective governors.  Minutes of meetings are available upon written request to the school.
